Please have patience during ZipClip’s beta phase.
OK, so we truly are in beta and working as quick as we can to fix a few “known” issues.
First, ZipClip is available for anyone who has a mobile carrier that allows application downloads to your phone. In the United States, that means ZipClip is only available on AT&T and Sprint at this time. For those of you outside the U.S., not to worry, as all carriers allow application downloads. U.S. consumers on other carriers: we are working hard to give you another solution.
Second, while ZipClip work on many phones and the BlackBerry, it’s not yet compatible with the iPhone or Treo, but we are working on it.
Third, there are some limitations on the size of the video clips you can send, which is currently about 8 minutes (or 30 megabytes). Eventually, we will allow for more so you can play larger things if you’d like.
Fourth, audio or music clipping is a bit difficult. You may sometimes be successful with it, but more often than not, it will not work. There are some tricky technical issues surrounding this, but yes – we’re working to address this too. If we can’t do this technically, we’ll work on a business development solution.
Last, while we can help you clip lots of fun stuff off the web, there are some formats or sites you may come across that ZipClip is not compatible with. Please let us know when you find these situations by clicking on feedback and sharing some of the details with us.
Any suggestions, compliments, concerns…whatever you think may help us, please let us know. Send us a note at feedback or for technical help, write us at support@zipclip.com
Thanks for your understanding and happy clipping!
